B.A.S.S. Nation Releases Schedule for 2019
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — B.A.S.S. officials announced Thursday that the B.A.S.S. Nation, the popular grass-roots organization with affiliated clubs in 47 states and 10 nations worldwide, will once again hold three regional events and a year-end championship in 2019.

The Nation will visit Alabama’s Lake Guntersville for the Central Regional on April 17-19, California’s Lake Shasta for the Western Regional on May 8-10 and Sebago Lake in Maine for the Eastern Regional on Sept. more

B.A.S.S. Redefines Professional Bass Fishing With 2019 Elite Series

After 50 years of setting the world standard for professional bass tournament competition, B.A.S.S. made historic changes to the Bassmaster Elite Series on Monday, which will elevate the sport to levels never seen before. Elite Series pros will begin the 2019 season with a smaller field of competition, vastly increased payouts, dramatically reduced entry fees and the promise of more exposure through the company’s industry-leading media platforms.

Mittelstaedt Wins Minnesota B.A.S.S. Nation State Championship



Kent Mittelstaedt wins Minnesota B.A.S.S. Nation State Championship on Lake Pokegama in Grand Rapids, MN. Kent has competed in bass tournaments in MN and across the nation for nearly 15years. BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Steeped in bass fishing history, Florida’s Harris Chain of Lakes has been selected to host the 2018 Bassmaster Team Championship Dec. 5-8, B.A.S.S. announced today.

Part of the Oklawaha River Basin, the Harris Chain covers about 50,000 acres, including eight lakes — seven of which will be accessible to the bass fishing teams competing in the championship and connecting channels. Lake Yale, a 4,000-acre natural lake, is not accessible by boat from the other seven lakes.

B.A.S.S. Names Top Students To 2018 Bassmaster High School All-State Fishing Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Sixty-four outstanding high school anglers from across the country have been named to the 2018 Bassmaster High School All-State Fishing Team presented by DICK’S Sporting Goods.

The students were selected for the honor based on their success in bass tournament competition, academic achievement and leadership in conservation and community service. “We’re proud to be investing in the next generation of anglers with the Bassmaster High School All-American program,” said Bruce Akin, B.A.S.S. CEO.

“This project highlights the best young anglers in the nation, and the résumés of the students nominated for All-State and All-American honors proves just how valuable this generation will be to sportfishing.” more
